Photography & fashion happened to Saurabh Vats out of sheer frustration and a strong dislike for doing something “ordinary & binding” in life. His deep hunger to find a grander and bigger expression of life through him led him to the Camera. With no formal coaching or guidance he took the plunge into the realm of pictures & photography, fashion, advertising and media.
The adventure began with Airport photography while working in Go Airways, India. It was a learning experience in more ways than one,with the camera and without. Saurabh’s transition to photography was equally defying as here too he ventured with little assistance and to his own surprise enjoyed the challenge and took up challenges with minimal experience or resources, however, the results belied the means used to produce them.With each day came a new photograph, an encounter with the dream world called Photography. Photography oozed from his lens. The only language he understand now is pictures, photographs, models, portraits, camera, lens, angels, light, shadow, photography, fashion photography.
His work itself relates his journey with the lens, a transition that was sometimes smooth as silk while gnawing with hunger for more & more. His insatiable thirst for more is also an ongoing story as he carves the niche with the shutter.
